Greetings and thank you for visiting my page!

I am Sudeshna. I am originally from Kolkata, India. As a young kid, I traveled quite a bit between India and the United States with my parents and sister and we lived in Maryland where I went to elementary and middle school. I moved to Texas for graduate school where I met my husband, Jeff. Currently, we live in Corpus Christi, Texas. We are both professors by profession but we also have our own hobbies.

My husband likes to play guitar and I LOVE cooking! So, the birth of this website is to essentially share with you my favorite recipes that have been passed down from generations. I come from a family of great cooks…my grandmother, mother, various aunts and my sister. I did not care about cooking as a young teen or in my early 20s, but moving to the United States and the pressures of graduate school opened up the world of cooking for me as I discovered its joys as a stress reliever and as a wonderful hobby that I can hone. Apart from Indian cooking, more specifically Bengali cooking, I also enjoy American  and Italian cooking.
